Apple – More Than Just iPhones and iPods
Apple
The company Apple Inc. was founded in California in 1976. Originally, a different logo was supposed to be the company's trademark, but since this was not possible, the management decided on an apple with a bite out of it, first representing the company as a black logo. Some time later, however, the apple took on a multi-colored look and has since symbolized the constant search for new innovations.
Apple has thus always been ahead of the game when it comes to product development. This can easily be seen in the history of the personal computer. The company was, after all, one of the first to manufacture personal computers. However, their first computer, the Apple I, never really made it to users. This first happened when the Apple II came along, which made its way to about 2 million homes. Apple is known for shaping the image of modern computer user interfaces with its first computers, which were still navigated via command prompt.
In the following years, numerous innovations were successfully brought onto the computer market – one of the highlights being the iMac.
In 2005 the Mac Mini was introduced so that even users strapped for cash could afford a high-quality computer. The switch to Intel processors occurred during the year 2006.
The introduction of Apple TV and the iPhone in 2007 marked the company's branching into the area of entertainment electronics. Once known as Apple Computer Incorporated, the company is known simply known as Apple Inc. Aside from everything having to do with Macs, the iPhone is now the main force in shaping Apple's product business plan.
