The incantare AudioServer – A Superior Sound

The incantare Audioserver from arcus is a high-end CD player and digital music archive in one. Its built-in storage medium easily allows for an entire CD collection to be archived using its internal storage capacity which comes in either 500 GB, 750 GB or even 1 TB.

arcus has been dealing with audio servers for many years, making it one of the most experienced companies in this area. Numerous tests from the technical press have shown that arcus's AudioServer sounds better than comparable CD players from other manufacturers. The bit for bit recording technology ensures that no parts of your CD are lost, and, if you want, the AudioServer can save your music in MP3 format as well.

Importing your CD collection is quite simple: just put in the CD and follow along with the clearly laid out menu. The audio server automatically adds your CD to the song database and provides you with the names of the albums, the artists, the genres and many other features. If you connect the device to the Internet, the audio server is always able to load current databases. The clever design of the menu allows you to find every artist, song and album instantaneously. If you do not have time to import your entire collection yourself, we would recommend the arcus PreLoad Service.

Since your collection will undoubtedly get bigger over time, we offer the arcus upgrade service: if increasing your storage space is necessary, we can take care of it for you. You then decide which storage upgrade option you would like – the music already on your system remains intact and is also transferred.

Of course, using the built-in CD burner, you can also burn your saved music onto a CD to make a copy for your car, for example. If you ever get tired of listening to your music collection, you can always simply switch to the Internet radio, too.

The device is of course also able to be used in various rooms of the home – the incantare AudioServer supports the UPnPAV protocol, which allows you to use it as a central music database. By connecting to streaming clients, you can access your archive from each room of your house – no matter what you might be listening to in your main room.

The incantare AudioServer is supposed to come out in the summer of 2009.
