TVersity is headquartered in New Jersey and was founded as a start-up company.

TVersity's mission has been to create software that redefines the multimedia world. At the same time, every device in the house or apartment should be able to be accessed no matter where it is located. A personal account can be created for different visitors, and comprehensive administration of audio files, video files and photos is possible.

To make this world accessable to users, you need a device that has streaming capabilities. The ideal choice for this would be, for example, between an X-Box 360, a PlayStation 3 or a set-top box. If you have at least one of these devices as well as a computer, it is recommended to install on these devices. TVersity focuses on the following area for which it regularly researches new possiblitites for improvement:

The platform for an independent media server should be able to be expanded, and all media within the home should be recognized on this server.

Furthermore, the Personal Entertainment Guide (PEG) should provide users useful service as an electronic program magazine. The programs should thus be able to be better organized according to individual interest.

The content guides should enable the user to connect to important media such as TV channels, radio and movie trailers.

A community was also created where the users can exchange thoughts about topics such as multimedia URLs.

The application has amassed loyal users and version 1.6 is already available.
