Windows Media Center

DWindows Media Center is a product from the Microsoft Corporation, which has a very unique success story.

The company was founded on April 4, 1975 by Bill Gates and Paul Allen. At that time, they both signed a contract which regulated the distribution of work as well as what would happen with the profits. The development of the programming language Altair BASIC 2.0 laid the foundation for a completely new development.

A solid foundation was in place, but it would still take a bit of time until great success was achieved. Once they began working together with IBM, Microsoft quickly became well-known. After all, the operating system MS-DOS, developed by Microsoft, was later used on IBM computers.

Over the years, of course, Microsoft's products and even its product diversity improved. However, the company was not completely with out problems, as exemplified by their cooperation with Digital Research. Overall, however, these problems were able to be overcome so that the company could devote its time to other projects.

Their focus in the last decade of the 20th century was on developing software devoted to entertainment, knowledge and fun for children. Over the years, their operating systems were developed further as well. Only time will tell what exciting new plans Microsoft will put into effect.
