The Philips Pronto TSU9400 has impressed us. Not only its design but also the way it is operated and especially its broad functionality make this remote control a true control center.

It understands both regular infrared commands and wireless signals, so Philips is especially geared toward home theaters. Devices are controlled with infrared signals, and the projector screen and lighting control are carried out wirelessly. Those who already own a media center can communicate via wireless Internet and your desired lists of music will be shown directly on the remote control.

That is how we envision a control center should be! The Philips Pronto TSU9400 is certainly not cheap but it does unify numerous functions and makes using your home theater easier.

Unfortunately, direct control via the frequency 433 MHz is no longer possible. A solution seems to be in the works, though - at least based on their marketing plans.
